The project's unique properties lie in its artistic representation of the four phases of a day - Dawn, Noon, Dusk, and Midnight. The main wall, made of angled wooden squares with paint, creates a shimmering scene, symbolizing water as the root of life. The geometric design showcases the fusion of contemporary and traditional, while the different furniture in each clinic makes each space unique. The lobby, a field of plant scaping, symbolizes life and transformation.
The design team utilized a variety of natural materials, ranging from warm walnut to custom-made paints, fine sand to stone, and even Boucle to linen. This gives the space a strong sensual connection with people, allowing them to immerse themselves in the beauty of the materials and enjoy the warmth and timelessness of natural texture.
The project, spanning about 661 square meters, is divided into an outdoor landscape area, an indoor 'front clinic', and a 'back VIP' area. The 6-meter-long hall counter combines volume, refinement, and practicality, with a special coating used for the countertop to extend the texture of the stone.
The design team, consisting of William Chen and Heidi Lin from FFnE Studio, faced challenges such as broken pipes, odor, mosquitoes, and sound insulation in the old building. However, they managed to overcome these issues through careful planning and techniques, creating a clean and impeccable ceiling and simple but delicate walls.
The Foram Aesthetic project, completed in 2022 in Taiwan, was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2023. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence and introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
